I was wondering, is it really true that new Zealand is ALWAYS cold?
is it hot in summer? if so what's the highest temperature

We are looking for lots of activities, lots of shops, lots of night-life, hot weather, and nice beaches ( preferably no pebble sand and nice waves? if you get any )
